Objective: Improving the quality of the educational infrastructure, schools endowment, student accommodation facilities and vocational centers in order to ensure an educational process at European standards and to increase the participation of the school population and adults in the educational process.

Categories of eligible beneficiaries:

- For projects dedicated to compulsory education school units (including special education) and for projects dedicated to vocational and technical education campuses: county councils, local municipal councils, local town councils, local commune councils 
- For university campuses: state higher-education institutions (universities, institutes, study academies) accredited in accordance with Law no. 87 of 2006 for the approval of GEO no. 75 of 2005 on ensuring the quality of education 
- For projects dedicated to continuous vocational training:  continuous vocational training Centers and public institutions supplying continuous vocational training

Eligible activities within the project:

- Consolidation, modernization, expansion of buildings (all types of infrastructure for compulsory education except campuses for professional and technical education)
- Consolidation, modernization, expansion and endowment of the special schools buildings:  education units, accommodation, canteens, access and educational facilities
- Construction, expansion, consolidation, modernization of campus buildings dedicated to technical and professional education
- Endowment with educational, professional training, IT equipment
- Consolidation, modernization and endowment of the buildings of state campuses : education units, accommodation, canteens, various facilities for educational activities
- Consolidation, modernization, expansion of the buildings dedicated to continuous vocational training
- Modernization of utilities and setting up facilities for persons with disabilities for all types of educational infrastructure.

Financial allocation for this Area of Intervention of the Bucharest-Ilfov Region is of 25, 24 million Euros.
