3.2. Key intervention area
Objective: enhancing the quality of the social
services infrastructure through support granted in a balanced
manner within the territory in order to ensure equal access of the
citizens to this kind of services.
Categories of eligible beneficiaries:
- Local public administration authorities - through the
subordinated public assistance services
- Partnerships between the local public administration authorities
and the public or private services suppliers authorized in
accordance with the law
- Social services suppliers, authorized in accordance with the
law.
Eligible alignment activities within the project:

- Modernization/ expansion of the social center's headquarters
(lodgings, canteens, bathrooms etc.)
- Modernization/ expansion of buildings for new social units
- Modernization of social units general and specific
utilities
- Establishment/modernization of access facilities for persons with
physical disabilities
- Organizing workshops within the social units
- Endowment with equipment adapted to the needs of the service
beneficiaries provided by the social units, including equipment for
the persons with disabilities
Approximate financial allocation for this Intervention Area of the
Bucharest-Ilfov Region is of 8,82 million Euros.
The open project application for the 3.2 intervention area was
launched on January, 28th 2008.
