BURSA Conference: “European financing – opportunity for economic recovery
The minister Ialomi?ianu declared that, at present, the payments
to the beneficiaries of European projects amount only 11.9% of the
total amount allocated to our country in the 2007 - 2013 period. He
requested the banks to be involved more in co-financing, so that a
higher number of projects would be approved for financing. Also,
the minister of Finance announced that next year the Government
shall allocated 22 billion Lei of the state budget to co-finance
the projects from European funds, with 60% more than this year,
when the total allocated amount shall reach the value of 13.5
billion Lei.
In turn, the minister of Agriculture, Valeriu Tab?r?, declared the
help of the banking institutions, with whom partnerships were
concluded, is supported, in order to increase the level of
absorption of European funds in the agricultural sector.
C?lin Istr??oiu, director within the Ministry of Economy,
presented to the audience the up to date value of the absorption of
European funds through the Sector Operational Program - Developing
the Economic Competitiveness, also stating that it is about to
accelerate attracting European financing.
